If you feel this in your arms more than your back, this is probably why - people turn this into an arm exercise without even realizing it.

A couple of things that usually fix it:
- keep your chest up (so your lats can actually do their job)
- drive your elbows down, not back
- ��control the weight instead of swinging it

When you get this right, you’ll feel it almost immediately.

And yes - building your lats and widening your back is one of the easiest ways to make your waist look smaller 😎

Five years ago, this all started with a dream, a few weights, and four empty walls. Today, this gym is so much more than a place to train - it’s a living, breathing community full of energy, laughter, and purpose - a grind that shows up each day and gives these once empty walls life.

We are beyond grateful for everyone who has been part of this journey - from the early days to now. Thank you for believing, supporting, and growing with us. Hard work built this place, and hard work will keep it going. 💪🏼

Meet Greg - an incredible member of our Sheer Dominance family (he’s been a client for 5+ years!) and a dedicated part of Team SD, our obstacle course race team!

Since joining us, Greg has shown nothing but grit, determination, and an unstoppable drive to push past limits. At 57 years old, he has completed over 16 races with no plans on stopping any time soon. Whether it’s training hard in the gym or tackling muddy obstacle races, he gives 101% each and every time.

Your commitment inspires the whole team, and we’re lucky to have you representing Sheer Dominance out on the course. Here’s to many more races, PRs, and muddy high-fives ahead! 🤘🏼

A moment of appreciation for our awesome client, Luca! Luca is currently a junior at Timberlane High and has been working closely with Coach Dom on his training program and Coach Casie on his nutrition. As of this week, he is officially down 30 pounds! 🥳

We have seen quite an increase in youth clients seeking training recently, whether it be for sports, conditioning during an athletic off season, general wellness, nutritional guidance, or to burn off some of that after school energy 🤪 and we couldn’t be happier to see health and fitness being made a priority at such a young age!

TEAM SD IS BACK FOR A 3 PEAT! 💪🏼

You’ve seen the medals hanging around the facility, are you ready to have one of your own? Our Spartan Team, Team SD, will be having their first meeting of the year this Friday at 7pm. We are always looking for new recruits and everyone is always welcome! We will be going over the race schedule, training schedule, and much more - if you have been on the fence about possibly doing a race with us, trying a something new that challenges you, or are just looking for a super fun group to train with, please come out to our information session! From now through March 17th, Sheer Dominance Strength and Performance will be taking donations for our friends over at the Salem Animal Rescue League. As a thank you for your donation, anyone who brings a donation from the list below into our fitness studio will receive 10% off their next training session - new members are always welcome and will also receive a free 45 minute fitness evaluation and consultation to discuss your fitness goals! 🐾
