We took on the world this weekend.
And what a weekend it was.
We’re heading home with incredible memories, hard-earned victories, and proof that a small-town academy can compete with the very best in the world.
🇺🇸 Owen Hebert has once again earned a spot on Team USA and will represent Triad, Ruston, and the United States in Kazakhstan.
🏆 3 World Champions
🥇 7 Gold Medals
🥇 1 athlete earned her THREE 2026 World Championship titles and, unfortunately, didn’t have an opponent in her additional division—otherwise she would have had the opportunity to bring home a fourth gold medal.
🥇🥇 2 athletes earned DOUBLE World Championship titles.
We also brought home multiple World silver and bronze medals, proving that our athletes belonged on every mat they stepped onto.
⚡ Out of 222 submissions during the two-day competition, TWO Triad athletes finished in the Top 10 fastest submissions.
🏆 Out of more than 145 teams from around the world, Triad Martial Arts Academy of Ruston finished THIRD overall for Best Academy.
And that’s just the Worlds division.
For our Novice competitors:
🥇🥇🥇 3 Gold Medals
🥈 Multiple Silver Medals
🥉 Multiple Bronze Medals
⚡ One of our athletes recorded the FASTEST submission of the entire novice competition, out of 87 submissions across the two days.
🏆 Our novice team also finished in the Top 10 for Best Academy.
The medals are amazing, but what makes us most proud is the character, discipline, sportsmanship, and heart our athletes displayed all weekend long.
To our students, parents, coaches, and supporters: thank you for believing in what we’re building.
Ruston showed up on the world stage this weekend.
And the world noticed.
