Triad Wrestling Club β Buccaneer Bash Recap (Haughton, LA)
The Buccaneer Bash marked a milestone day for Triad Wrestling Club. We brought our largest group ever to a tournament β 20 wrestlers deep β and what stood out even more was the courage of our team. Ten of those wrestlers doubled up, stepping into divisions above their normal age or weight class to challenge themselves.
Thatβs culture. Thatβs growth.

What Stood Out
β’ Fearless mentality β 10 wrestlers competing above their division.
β’ Consistency across age groups β From 10U to Open, Triad was represented on podiums.
β’ Competitive toughness β Many finals and placing matches were close, hard-fought battles.
β’ Club-wide growth β Not just individual success, but collective momentum.
When you take 20 wrestlers to a tournament as a young club and walk away with this many podium finishes β while encouraging kids to double up and test themselves β thatβs not accidental. Thatβs culture being built.
The Buccaneer Bash wasnβt just about medals. It was about proving that Triad Wrestling Club is growing, developing depth, and building wrestlers who arenβt afraid of hard matches.
Big day for the room. Even bigger days ahead.
