🥋🚗 MORE THAN JUST A CAR SHOW 🚗🥋

Over the past several weeks, we’ve been announcing vendors, food trucks, awards, and event details for the first-ever Martial Arts Motor Show hosted by Excel Academy of TKD.

But what exactly is this event all about?

The Martial Arts Motor Show was created with one goal in mind:

❤️ Bringing our community together.

We wanted to create an event where local families, students, businesses, car enthusiasts, and community members could all come together in one place for a positive, family-friendly experience.

This isn’t just about vehicles.

This isn’t just about martial arts.

It’s about community.

It’s about creating memories.

It’s about giving local businesses an opportunity to connect with the people they serve.

It’s about introducing new families to activities and organizations that make our community stronger.

It’s about supporting one another and celebrating the things that bring us together.

That’s why spectator admission is completely FREE.

We want families to be able to come out, enjoy the vehicles, watch demonstrations, participate in activities, support local vendors, and simply spend time together without worrying about an admission fee.

Any proceeds generated from vehicle registrations, vendor participation, raffles, and donations will be reinvested into future community events, academy programming, student opportunities, equipment, and continuing to create positive experiences for the families we serve.

As this event continues to grow, our hope is that it becomes an annual tradition that the Rockford area can look forward to every summer.

The Martial Arts Motor Show isn’t just about showing up — it’s about bringing the community into the experience.

We’re excited to officially spotlight the TWO featured awards that will be part of the first-ever event hosted by Excel Academy of TKD on July 12, 2026!

🥋🏁 THE BLACK BELT BUILD AWARD 🏁🥋
Our featured “Best in Show” award recognizing the vehicle that stands above the rest through presentation, creativity, craftsmanship, and overall impact.

🔥 The twist?
This award will be voted on ENTIRELY by the spectators attending the event.

Every attendee will have the opportunity to cast a vote and help decide which vehicle earns the top honor of the show.

👦⚡ THE FUTURE BLACK BELT PICK ⚡👦
This special award will be voted on completely by the CHILDREN attending the event.

Kids will have the chance to walk the show, explore the vehicles, and choose the car they think is the coolest, most exciting, or most memorable vehicle at the event.

Both awards will feature custom event trophies/keepsakes created specifically for the Martial Arts Motor Show.

This Memorial Day, we also want to take a moment to recognize and remember the brave men and women who gave everything in service to our country. Their sacrifice is the reason we are able to come together as communities, families, and friends to enjoy events like this together.

As we continue building the first-ever Martial Arts Motor Show hosted by Excel Academy of TKD, we’re excited to officially announce the beginning of our food vendor lineup for Summer 2026! 🔥

Kona Ice of Rockford has spent the past four years bringing flavor, positivity, and community support all across the area with over 40 shaved ice flavors — including sugar-free and dye-free options — while also giving back over $65,000 to local schools, sports teams, and nonprofits through their “Be Good. Do Good. For Good.” mission.

We’re also excited to welcome Sizzlin Susie’s — a woman-owned food truck serving specialty burgers, fresh cut fries, and hand-cut, hand-battered Wisconsin cheese curds, all made fresh to order.

Tomorrow (Saturday, May 23rd) is the EXCEL Invitational Tournament, proudly run by Master Will Nevitt. All Excel instructors and students will be at the event, so there will be no regular classes at the academy.
