It has taken me a long time to find the words to write this, and even now, it is one of the hardest posts I've ever had to make.
Almost 14 years ago, I began coaching with Champion Force Athletics. I never could have imagined the journey that was ahead of me, the athletes I would meet, the families who would become like family, the memories we would create, and the impact this program would have on my life.
To every athlete who has ever stood on one of my teams: thank you. Thank you for trusting me, working hard, making me laugh, challenging me to be a better coach, and allowing me to be part of your story. Watching you grow, not just as athletes, but as people, has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.
To every parent and family: thank you for believing in me and trusting me with your children. Your support, encouragement, and commitment have meant more than you know. If it weren't for all of you, my coaching career with Champion Force Athletics would never have been what it has become. The longevity and success I've experienced are because of the incredible athletes and families who stood beside me every step of the way.
This decision was not made lightly. So many of you have been on this journey with me for years. We've celebrated victories, overcome disappointments, shared countless practices, competitions, road trips, team parties, and unforgettable moments together. Walking away from something that has been such a huge part of my life is incredibly difficult.
With that being said, it is time for a new chapter. I have made the decision to step down from coaching with Champion Force Athletics.
As bittersweet as this is, I know it is the right decision for my family. I plan to spend more time focusing on my own children and supporting them in their athletic journeys. While I may no longer be at practice or at competition as Coach Ali, I'll always be cheering for every athlete, from those I coached years ago, to the athletes competing today, and all of those who will come after.
I have poured my heart into this program for nearly 14 years. My hope is that every athlete who crossed my path leaves with more than just memories of routines and competitions. I hope they carry confidence, resilience, kindness, sportsmanship, and the belief that they are capable of accomplishing hard things. If I was able to make even a small positive difference in their lives, then every minute was worth it.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for allowing me to be Coach Ali. It has truly been one of the greatest honors of my life. I will forever be grateful for every hug, every smile, every challenge, every accomplishment, and every family who welcomed me into their lives.
This isn't goodbye to cheer, it’s simply goodbye to one chapter. I can't wait to watch all of you continue to grow, succeed, and accomplish amazing things.
