🥋🔥 NEW LUNCHTIME JIU-JITSU CLASSES ARE HERE! 🔥🥋

We’re excited to welcome Jacob Ramirez to the Ruffhouse coaching team!

Starting Monday, August 3, Jacob will be teaching our new Adult Gi Jiu-Jitsu classes every Monday and Wednesday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

Jacob began his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2011, shortly after graduating high school. He continued training after joining the United States Marine Corps, where he served as an Aviation Ordnance Technician from 2015 to 2019. Throughout his military service, Jacob remained committed to his jiu-jitsu, training wherever he was stationed.

He spent a year training in South Korea before moving to San Diego, where he trained at Alliance San Diego for two years. After leaving the Marine Corps, Jacob relocated to Washington and joined Alliance WA in Lakewood, where he has spent the past seven years teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Jacob is passionate about helping students build strong fundamentals, develop confidence on the mats, and continue growing regardless of their experience level. His years of teaching and dedication to the art make him a fantastic addition to the Ruffhouse family.

🥋 NEW MORNING JIU-JITSU CLASSES ARE HERE! 🥋

We’re excited to welcome Coach Tyler Woodbridge to the Ruffhouse coaching team!

Starting Tuesday, August 4, Tyler will be leading our brand-new Morning Jiu-Jitsu classes:

⏰ 6:30 AM – 7:30 AM

Tyler began his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey over 7 years ago and has earned his purple belt through dedicated training and a passion for mastering the fundamentals. Before stepping into jiu-jitsu coaching, he spent 9 years coaching football, developing athletes and building teams through discipline, leadership, and hard work.

Tyler brings that same coaching philosophy to Ruffhouse. His classes focus on building strong fundamentals, training with purpose, and helping every student improve, whether you’re just getting started or preparing for competition. His clear instruction, positive attitude, and commitment to each student’s development make him a great addition to our team.

What an amazing day at Ruffhouse Training Center! 🥋🌭❤️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our Summer School BBQ! It was awesome seeing our students, families, friends, and instructors spending time together off the mats.

We’re grateful to everyone who brought food to share, helped grill burgers and hot dogs, and made today such a fun event. These moments remind us that Ruffhouse is more than just a martial arts school, we’re a family.

Thank you all for being part of what makes Ruffhouse such a special place. We can’t wait to get back on the mats this week and keep growing together.

One of the coolest things about Jiu-Jitsu is watching people grow together. Countless rounds, tough classes, laughs after training, and just being there week after week.

Big congrats to Eric and Nate on earning new stripes on their blue belts tonight. Well deserved and a reflection of the time and effort they’ve both been putting in on the mats. Proud of these guys and the friendship they’ve built through training. 👊🥋
