"A little bit about me:
I wanted to share my story with all of you. To start off I have been pole dancing since 2018 and instructing since 2021. I began this hobby after getting in a nasty wreck that left me with broken bones and doctors doubting my future physical ability. Guess what?! Pole actually rehabilitated me! I became stronger than I ever was.

This past year I have found out pole is truly saving my life. In January of 2026 I found out I have a neurodegenerative disorder called Spinocerebellar ataxia. Meaning my future consists of being wheel chair bound along with many other issues from speech to swallowing and so on."

“I first found aerial arts via a Groupon class pack, when I was living in northern California more than fifteen years ago. I immediately loved the challenge, but wasn’t able to develop a habit. Working two jobs and completing a research internship ate up all my time, and simply surviving in Santa Cruz took all my money.

Fast forward to finding Ascendance in 2022, which felt like kismet. I knew finding a studio with the right vibe and close to my home in Renton was such a special situation. The Ascendance values around inclusivity and community were also really attractive to me. I remember coming across some marketing material with a gentleman on a lyra who looked old enough to be my grandfather. Seeing him appear so strong and focused made me feel, quite instantly, that I would be okay here

(Shout-out to Gordon, who I later learned was a student, 71 in those photos, and still crushing it!)”

Immerse yourself in a tranquil oasis of sound where soothing tones and vibrations guide you into deep relaxation and inner harmony.

Calming vibrations and frequencies help shift the body out of stress and anxiety, creating a meditative environment that allows the mind to release built-up tension.

Restorative frequencies counteract the fight-or-flight response often experienced by aerialists and performers. As the sound waves wash over you, they promote calm, grounding inner peace, opening space in the mind and body for creative flow.

We will begin with a gentle 30 minute low flow yin yoga session utilizing a silk hammock. Each posture will held 3-5 minutes, targeting the deep tissue that supports the joints.

Following yin practice we will fully emerge ourselves inside in the hammock, allowing for complete comfortability and relaxation.

No hammock experience required.

We will provide a mat and bolster for your comfort.

You are welcome to bring an eye mask or a small blanket.
