Our May Member of the Month was .anderson and he has been seriously impressing us lately with his dedication and strides in his training! He shared the following with us and we think it perfectly encapsulates the spirit of CrossFit. Way to crush it, Torben! We are glad to have you. 🔥
“CrossFit is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Harder than anything I’ve done before including off-road triathlon and long-distance swimming. Going from 2 days a week, and basically being stiff for 2 weeks, to being able to do 5 sessions a week, feels nuts - but is now real.
It has taught me a lot about resilience, consistency, and “going long,” not just in CrossFit but in life. We live in such an instant-everything-world, its such great way to learn the long game.
If you keep showing up and doing hard things long enough, eventually you hit that tipping point. Lately, I’ve been hitting a lot of firsts in WODs — toes-to-bar, kipping pull-ups, and regular PRs — things that honestly seemed impossible before.
Thanks to all the awesome coaches and the North State CrossFit community for the encouragement, patience, and push. Such an elite crew. CrossFit has been humbling, but incredibly rewarding. Onward and upward.”
