The Potsdam Sandstoners Basketball Team plays Marcellus in Syracuse on Sunday. They came to Hot Box Saturday morning in an attempt to give everyone a better chance at a good night’s sleep.

Saunas help you sleep in 2 ways:
1. Sauna use is an exercise mimetic that elevates heart rate and produces the same hormetic response as exercise. Even when you just sit (in their case watching game film) you are exercising.
2. Saunas raise your core temperature in conjunction with the circadian rhythm. Then at night, the core temperature will drop between 1-3 degrees allowing for better quality and quantity of sleep.

Sleep is the greatest factor in overall health and Saunas directly and positively affect sleep.
