My wife even joined the fun this weekend driving the unicorn for the first time. Did really good

We had a great weekend at the Colfax plowing bee. We took nine draft horses and one saddle horse to make sure everyone got to drive or ride. A big thank you to my wife Shelly, Riley and Vanessa and family, Alexia VandeKamp, Sebastian Popoff, Taylor and Brandy Jacobs and family, Alyssa Virgin, and Jeremy Fetter. We drove two different four-horse hitches on two plows. Riley took one four-horse team with a helper, and Alexia took the other with a helper. We plowed all day Saturday and half a day Sunday - lots of fun and good to get the horses muscled up. Shelly took her saddle horse and worked on her liberty training and getting her horse used to being around new places and a bunch of other horses.

Way back in 2009 a few years after I took over the multiple hitch driving. Grandpa and I were asked by the Ruralite of they could come out for a sleigh ride.

We had a great first show of the season in Deer Lodge, MT. We had a great crew, worked well together. I would like to thank Riley & Vanessa Moore, Alexia VandeKamp, Alyssa Leber and Sebastian Popoff, most of all my wife Shelly Moore for everything she does for me. All our drivers had good drives, and horses worked great. Riley and I drove the sixes, Alexia and Sebastian drove the two four ups. Alexia drove classic cart, Alyssa drove ladies cart. Tanner, Zoey and Cooper all drove jr team. Last but not least Cheyenne drove jr cart.
After the classes were over yesterday Darin Nagle and I hooked together a pyramid 10 horse hitch. We put on a little demo for the crowd, Darin started off driving and I took over after he reversed. It went really well first time all hooked together in the pyramid. Thanks to the Big Sky Draft Horse Expo for putting on another great show
