Summer is almost here! With two weeks left in the Spring session we wanted to get everyone hyped! Summer session is always a bit special with our celebration in the park on promotion day. Performances, demonstrations, the obstacle course, pot luck and water gun fight is something our students always look forward to.

Special this summer, the Girl Power class will be learning a fan form (don't worry, only Si Gong will be using a steel one!). Reach out if you're interested in trying out a class for free. It's going to be a great summer!

Wanted to include some stills from our black belt forms from this session.

Our schools use forms as both a learning tool and a creativity tool. After all it's called Martial Arts not Martial Martial!

Students testing for their black belts are given the assignment of creating a form that includes everything they've learned up to that moment. The forms can take anywhere from 3 months to a year to put together. We are unbelievably proud and grateful to be part of their journey. And remember! A black belt is not the end, it is the beginning!

An incredible session! We're very proud to present our first black belt promotions here at the Portland school! We're so immensely honored to have walked this path with these beautiful souls and look forward to the ongoing journey!

Hello everyone! It’s been a while since we’ve had an update. Our Kung Fu students have been hard at work over the wintertime. From nunchucks to crane and more, 2025 brought us a lot of wonderful experiences and lessons.

Now, more than ever, it’s important to take care of ourselves–whatever that means for you. In the face of a world that is becoming increasingly hard, we find it important to foster the parts of us that are soft, too. You will find that our classes have a strong focus in nourishing the mind as well as the heart through the practice of Shaolin Kung Fu.

Stay strong out there, friends, and if you’ve been thinking of trying out a class, now is the perfect time to get started!
