Thank you all for all of your help.

We were not able to save the Bahia Brazil Art Center for Portland. We tried everything we could think of including contacting an attorney and even contacting Portland City Commissioner Chloe Eudaly's office. They were very sympathetic but unable to help.

The focus of this fund raiser has shifted from trying to save the school to helping the school gracefully relocate.

The BBAC is being forced out of its home of 12 years by high rents. Mestre Almiro has worked for 31 years to bring Brazilian heritage and culture to Portland, Oregon. Mestre Almiro has resolved to continue that fight but it will have to be from a new location.

If you can contribute please help with your donation to help the Bahia Brazil Art Center find a new home. We will be having a moving party this Saturday 10/21/17 at 2pm. If you can not help with funds please stop by the center this Saturday to help load the moving van and lend Mestre your emotional support.

Please help. On the 31st anniversary of Mestre Almiro coming to America, Mestre Almiro and the Bahia Brazil Art Center are being forced out of their home of 12 years.
The space for the center is being taken over by another company and we need your help to find and fund a move to a new space for the Bahia Brazil Art Center. Please contribute what you can to help keep the BBAC alive.
