We are excited to have one of the All-Time Indiana HS Greats be a part of our Midwest Explosion Family! Blackford Legend Luke Brown will be on board for the 2027 AAU Season.

Luke will be a part of our September 20th tryout! He will share valuable information on what it takes to be an outstanding student-athlete and demonstrate some of the skill drills that helped propel him, to a sure-fire Indiana HS Hall of Fame career!

In addition, Luke has developed an App that helps keep players on track for reaching their goals! We plan on implementing that into our program at no additional charge for our players! Luke will share information regarding this at the tryout.

If you want to be a part of an AAU program that values PLAYER/CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT you should attend this tryout and consider joining if chosen.

We’re hoping to have teams for grades 4-11. We are looking forward to this next season and making some valuable upgrades. Feel free to PM with questions. Hope to see you on 9/20.

The Portland Boys Club was funded in 1953 and transitioned to the Jay County Boys Club in 1960. The club further expanded in the early 90’s to serve both boys and girls.

Today the club operates Monday thru Thursday serving over 200 local youth per year. The official creed of the club, since it was founded, is still hanging in the armory gym.
