Do you know what time it is? Did your clocks "Fall back" one hour last night? At 2 am the clocks needed to rewind 1 hr back to be 1am again & return to Standard time.
So we "got" an extra hour of night/sleep.
Enjoy the "extra" hour you "gained" overnight!
! ALSO life saving measure to do every time change, or every 6 months~ check/change your smoke & carbon monoxide detectors' batteries!
!
As some might remember I've (Me'lanie) lived thru TWO house fires, both times dead OR REMOVED batteries in detectors by others annoyed by dying battery beeps (unknown to me). Terrifying. Deaths can be prevented by working detectors.
Note~ the time change wasn't for all US states & territories though.
Info from The Farmer's Almanac on time change:
For MOST of the US states Daylight Saving Time ended on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 2 A.M., when clocks will “fall back” one hour to Standard Time. Most people will set their clocks back before going to bed on Saturday night, October 31, so they wake up at the correct time Sunday morning. . . but WHY?? 🕑️
Many Americans feel that changing clocks is outdated. In recent years, public frustration has fueled political momentum to make either DST or Standard Time permanent. While Congress has not yet passed legislation for permanent DST, states are taking matters into their own hands, and 29 states are actively pursuing some form of permanent time change.
In the U.S., there are some exceptions to DST that already exist: Arizona (except for the Navajo Nation), Hawaii, ashington still do (our states still need Congress to pass the requests to stay on 1 time, year round). "'
