Benelli moved the gas system closer to the chamber and tucked the recoil spring into the stock instead of the mag tube — that's Rear Piston Operation. Is the headspacing correct? 🫣

In Part 2, we are checking to make sure we installed the barrel properly with the correct headspacing tolerances.

This is a surface level explanation of headspacing and the use of No/No-Go gauges. We had to leave a lot of the finer details out in this one. If you want to be confident that your headspacing is correct, the best method is to have it done by a professional gunsmith

This was a fun, quick, competition-oriented R***r Mark IV build that we put together using the new Tandemkross Cthulhu lower.

One of the guys nicknamed it “Black Flash” after the comic book character.
