I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park 5/23 Recap

Heat Race - 7th ➡️ 2nd ➡️ 3rd

Feature - 1st ➡️ 5th

We had an action packed night at the racetrack Saturday with tons of cars showing up! Not too much to say about our races, based on our average lap times we showed up with a 5th place car, so we deserved a 5th place finish! Hope we can find a good balance & get back to being a consistent top 3 car like we’re expected to be. Hope everyone had a good Memorial Day weekend & looking forward to the next one 🏁

Unloaded @ I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park tonight! Hoping to just put a full night together and shake the bad luck we’ve had lately! We made the trip down to Worley Race Cars last night to get 2026 updates so fingers crossed we got us a better racecar! Pill Draw of 75 so we’ll be starting in the back of our heat race. I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park 5/16 Recap

Heat Race - 2nd ➡️ 1st ➡️ 2nd

Feature - 4th ➡️ 5th ➡️ DNF

Last night was a full moon for the 20D! Showed up to the track a half hour before the races started and realized one thing we didn’t change & another we forgot to fix would end up making our night bad all around. Started 2nd in the heat race and quickly took the lead somehow dealing with our issues until a huge hole slammed us hard into the ground giving up the 1st spot and ended up second. With no way to fix our issues at the track, we were debating on making a lap then pulling in to get start $ but the racer in me wanted to stay out there! It surely sucked having your foot to the floor and the car going nowhere. We were so throttle tight that I had to work overtime on the wheel just to make the car go in circles and we ended up spinning. Ended up making the “good business decision” as some would say and pulling it in instead of burning gas and tires for a car that wouldn’t go forward. The good news is we should be back to normal by next weekend! 🏁

I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park 4/2 Recap

Heat Race - 4th ➡️ 1st ➡️ 2nd

Feature - 2nd ➡️ 3rd

We finally caught a break for a good night, but it wasn’t without a little drama! Went from 4th to the lead in the heat race before our LR upper shock mount broke clean off & we just had to hold on for the rest of the race finishing 2nd. I want to give a thumbs up to Bennett Spraul for racing us hard while still being clean and giving the fans a SHOW for a heat race trading sliders that you hardly see in the sportsman class! Once we got back to the pits we realized we just had to come up with an idea to rig the LR shock in place to finish off the night rather than just loading up and that’s when our long time friend, Rusty Griffaw, helped us out! We bolted on a random shock out of his trailer to a less than ideal location and sent it! 😂 We were rolling in 2nd for the first portion of the feature until I thought “well just following the 00 ain’t going to help trying to pass him so let’s try another line” & boy was that not the correct answer 😆. Coming off the bottom resulted in the 29 cruising on by us to take 2nd and we just train raced around the bottom to end the night. Although our feature was pretty anti-climactic, I gotta give Josh Carrol and the track crew a high five for a racetrack that was smooth top to bottom!

I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park 4/25 Recap

Hot Laps - Quick Time ✅

Heat Race - 3rd ➡️ 2nd

Feature - 4th ➡️ 2nd ➡️ DNF

9 years… in our 9 years of racing, we’ve never suffered a flat tire until last night. Almost no racer can say that so we’ve been extremely lucky. After last weeks rain, pretty much all local tracks were dealt with a challenging race track to make good for the racers & the Pevely crew gave us the best possible track given the circumstances. We had a pretty good performance in the heat race just was extra tight being how hammer down the racetrack was at the time finishing 2nd. We started the feature in 4th, got to 2nd right off the bat, was setting up the leader to pass wide open on the cushion until our RR tire had other plans literally exploding, which ended our night! Absolutely happy with our performance given that we hadn’t touched the car since November!

Onto the next one 🏁
