This spring, the Perham Sportsman’s Club, in collaboration with the Frazee Sportsmans Club, distributed 5,750 pheasant chicks to area participants. With this year's distribution, the program has now reached a total of 118,500 pheasant chicks since its inception.

Special thanks to Craig Swanson, Andy Breitenfeldt, Randy Vroman, and Keith Friedsam for their hard work and commitment to this program!

The 2026 Little Pine Lake Adult Young Angler Tournament Tournament takes place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, on Little Pine Lake in Perham, MN. Hosted by FM Walleyes Unlimited, Inc., this popular catch-record-release walleye tournament is an excellent introduction to competitive angling for kids.

Entry forms for the 2026 Little Pine Lake Adult Young Angler Tournament are now available! You can find the entries at www.fmwalleyes.com/tournaments
The event will take place on Saturday, August 1st with picnic and rules meeting taking place at 5 p.m. on Friday, July 31st. Teams who participated in the 2025 event will have a 2 week window for priority entry into the 2026 tournament. After that time any remaining spots will be filled on a first come first serve basis with post mark of the envelope used to determine order.
This event features up to 40 teams consisting of one adult and two young anglers each in a catch-record-relase walleye tournament format. If we receive more than 40 entries, any extras will be put on a waiting list. The entry fee checks for those on the waiting list will not be deposited unless there is an opening due to the cancellation of another team.
We'd love to have you join us for this exciting event with the goal of "Creating Miles Of Smiles, One Fish At A Time"!

The Perham Sportsman’s Club is planning improvements to the Handgun Range, including a redesign of the shooting area and replacement of the existing range shed. Planned upgrades include the addition of a covered shooting platform, expanded target capacity, and enhanced safety features. The current range shed has reached the end of its useful life and is beyond economical repair, making replacement necessary.

In recognition of their longstanding commitment to personal protection, Second Amendment rights, and shooting sports, the completed handgun range will be dedicated to the Brian & Sue Nelson Family.

The Perham Hot Shots are gearing up to compete in the 2026 Minnesota State Trap Shooting Championship taking place June 15–23 at the Alexandria Shooting Park. The event is expected to draw more than 350 high school teams and over 8,000 student athletes from across the state, making it one of the largest youth shooting sports events in Minnesota.

We wish the Hot Shots the best of luck as they represent our community on the state stage. Good shooting and safe travels to all participants and families!

Let's Go Outdoors recently helped outfit and guide a Fishing For Life - Youth Turkey Camp, providing young outdoors enthusiasts with a memorable hunting experience. Events like these help introduce the next generation to safe, ethical hunting practices while building confidence and appreciation for the outdoors.

We appreciate everyone who helps create opportunities for youth in the outdoors and want to thank Ryan Strugar for his time and support in making the camp a success!

Rifle range improvements are underway as we rebuild the rifle range target backstops as part of ongoing improvements to the club’s facilities. The rifle ranges will remain open during construction, and members are encouraged to use caution while work is underway. 🎯
