🏁 Weekend Recap 🏁
Thursday we kicked things off at Norman County Raceway!
• Heat: 4th ➡️ 5th
• Feature: 9th ➡️ 9th
The results may not show it, but we felt like we had a better car than where we finished. Unfortunately, our feature only made it 6 laps before being cut short. Just as we started getting a decent run going, a car broke in front of us and we got bottled up while everyone behind us found a way around.
Friday we made our first-ever trip to Princeton Speedway!
• Heat: 1st ➡️ 3rd
Starting on the pole, we got a little loose entering turn 2 but gathered it back up. Unfortunately, a couple cars behind us spun, and we were deemed the cause, sending us to the back. We were able to battle back and gain a few spots before the checkered.
• Feature: 1st ➡️ 10th
We learned pretty quickly that we need a different gear setup for this track, but it was a blast getting the opportunity to race somewhere new. We'll definitely be back!
Saturday brought us to Ogilvie Raceway!
• Heat: 8th ➡️ 5th
We finally got the draw we've all been waiting for—a perfect 100/100! 😂 We were able to move forward a few spots and put together a solid heat race.
• Feature: 15th ➡️ 16th
Sunday we attempted Granite City Motor Park, but Mother Nature had other plans. Huge thanks to James and the entire crew for all the work they put in trying to get the show in!
Overall, it was a fun and productive weekend. It was great to return to a track we haven't raced at in four years and to check another new track off the list. The driver and the car continue to improve every time we unload, and we're excited to keep building momentum.
