Jon was an avid decoy carver, duck hunter, teacher, author, and part-time historian for the Dead Lake decoy camps of old. He was at this spring's show, in case you met him for the first time.
Jon used to bring his entire class through the early shows trying to motivate the young carvers.
He will be missed.
