We're collecting books this month! Have any that you'd like to donate?

Pendleton Area Advocates for Intellectual Freedom annually presents Read & Rise, a right-to-read event during Banned Books Week. For the second year, we invite you to help us support them by donating books. Donated books will be given away during the Read & Rise event on Saturday, September 26.

When you donate any number of books between September 1 and September 21, you’ll receive a custom-made “Books are yoga for the mind” tote bag as a token of our appreciation.

September always feels a little like a threshold when summer isn't quite gone, but the rhythms of fall are beginning to emerge. Schedules shift, routines return, and we start to settle into a new season.

Our mind-body practices can be a beautiful way to mark that transition. A chance to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and notice what this particular season is asking of you.

In September, we have lots of opportunities to do just that -- from specialty classes and pop-ups to our Fall Equinox mini-retreat at Woodburn Historic Home.

We are so excited for our Fall Mini Retreat at Woodburn! Registration is now open, so go ahead and grab your spot while you can.

The Fall Equinox Mini Retreat will feature Tai Chi Fan, Sound Healing, and Yoga classes plus vegan and omnivore charcuterie from Paddle and Board and henna designs from Upstate Henna. Live music will round out the day.
