NEXT. 😆

Radom P-64 — 9x18 Makarov.

Poland apparently designed this pistol around one very simple engineering requirement:

“Comfort is capitalist weakness.”

And honestly, mission accomplished. 😂

It’s small.
It’s all steel.
It holds six rounds.
It’s chambered in 9x18 Makarov.
And the double-action trigger feels like the gun wants written confirmation that you’re REALLY sure you meant to pull it.

Pull.

“Are you sure, comrade?”

Pull harder.

“No, seriously. Think about this.”

KEEP PULLING.

BANG.

Congratulations. You’ve now earned single action. 😆

The P-64 is one of those fantastic little Cold War surplus guns that makes absolutely perfect sense once you stop judging it by modern handgun standards.

No optic cut.
No accessory rail.
No interchangeable backstraps.
No seventeen-round magazine.
No Reddit thread arguing about the reset.

Just steel, springs, six rounds of 9x18, and approximately 47 pounds of Eastern European stubbornness stuffed into a pistol you can almost hide behind a Pop-Tart.

And before somebody starts typing furiously:

YES. IT’S POLISH.

Not Soviet.

Poland spent enough years dealing with Moscow. We’re not starting another international incident in the comment section. 😂

Somehow this thing survived the Cold War, the collapse of the Soviet Union, Poland joining NATO, being shipped halfway around the world, and eventually wound up sitting in BigRed’s shop in Palmerton, Pennsylvania.

Igor has reviewed the situation.

His official position appears to be:

“Better here than with the communists.”

So there you have it.

Geopolitical closure.

NEXT. 😆

Smith & Wesson Model 3 — .32 S&W.

This thing is OLD old.

Not “my dad bought one in the 80s” old.

I mean this revolver has survived Prohibition, the Great Depression, World War II, disco, Y2K, Facebook Marketplace, and whatever the hell society is doing now. 😂

Roughly 100 years old.

Still mechanically functional.

Meanwhile I stand up too fast and need a minute.

It’s a classic little Smith & Wesson top-break revolver with honest finish wear, scratches, discoloration, and approximately a century worth of stories nobody bothered to write down.

And that’s exactly how I want it.

Please, for the love of God, don’t look at something like this and think:

“You know what this needs? A polishing wheel.”

NO.

Leave Grandpa alone.

Every worn spot is part of why the damn thing is interesting.

The best part?

I’ve got a drawer full of old H&R revolvers from roughly this same universe that has basically become an assisted-living facility for elderly handguns.

Those guys are retired.

This Smith is still showing up for work. 😂

No optic cut.
No polymer.
No weapon light.
No firmware update.
No internet argument about co-witness height.

Just steel, .32 S&W, a top-break action, and engineering from an era when apparently everything was expected to outlive its owner.

If this thing could talk, we’d probably need a historian, a lawyer, and possibly a priest.

NEXT. 😆

Smith & Wesson 6904 — 9mm.

This thing looks like it should come with a pager, a Crown Victoria, a shoulder holster, and a detective who’s been divorced at least once.

Peak late-1900s energy.

Yes, I said “late 1900s.”

F**k you. We’re all old now. 😂

Before polymer pistols took over the planet and everybody needed an optic cut, interchangeable backstraps, a threaded barrel, a compensator, and seventeen different pieces of grip tape, Smith & Wesson was making these glorious little aluminum-and-steel DA/SA contraptions.

Hammer.
Decocker.
Safety.
Double-action first pull.
Single-action after that.

Basically, back when buying a handgun occasionally required learning how the damn handgun worked.

This one’s a used 6904, compact, double-stack, 9mm, and absolutely dripping with 1992 detective energy.

I handed it to Igor.

He worked the slide, looked at the hammer, admired the amount of metal involved, and essentially wanted to know where America went wrong.

Polymer, Igor.

Polymer happened. 😂

If your handgun experience begins with G***k Gen 4, come handle this thing just so you can experience an era when pistols felt like somebody designed them on drafting paper.

And if you already know what a 6904 is...

You’re probably already clicking the link.

Holy s**t, we made it to Friday. 😆

Frontiersmen Fi****ms is OPEN TODAY from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM.

Yes, 9 PM. BigRed somehow escaped the family sports schedule, found the shop keys, and is being allowed to function like an actual business owner for a few hours.

Come hang out, browse the inventory, talk guns, night vision, transfers, estates, questionable financial decisions, or whatever else you’ve been doom-scrolling instead of calling me about.

NEXT. 😆

Ah yes, the R***r LCP .380.

The pistol that makes me feel like somebody handed Shrek a fu***ng Tic Tac and said, “Here, get a good two-handed grip on this.”

I hate this little bastard.

Not because it’s a bad gun. Quite the opposite. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do: be tiny, lightweight, easy to conceal, and generally disappear until you need it.

The problem is I was apparently built using measurements from the Old Testament.

When I hold this thing, three fingers, half my palm, and possibly part of Carbon County are hanging off the bottom.

Igor’s professional assessment was basically:

“BigRed, the gun isn’t the problem. You’re just enormous.”

Thanks, Igor.

So if you’re a normally proportioned human being looking for a compact .380, this one actually makes a ton of sense.

If you’re built like me, come hold it anyway so we can laugh together.

And yes, I wrote an entire product description explaining why I personally hate the gun I’m attempting to sell.

Marketing professionals everywhere just felt a disturbance in the Force. 😂

I hate this thing. 😆

There. We got that out of the way.

Akdal Arms / Adler AD-9 in 9mm.

It’s Turkish.
It’s optics cut.
It has a threaded barrel.
It does NOT take G***k magazines.

Because apparently somebody sat down in Turkey and said:

“Let’s make another polymer 9mm.”

“Okay.”

“Give it an optic cut.”

“Sure.”

“Threaded barrel?”

“Absolutely.”

“G***k mags?”

“No. F**k that guy.” 😂

I don’t even have a good reason to hate it.

It showed up.
I picked it up.
I looked at it.

And something deep inside BigRed immediately went:

“No.”

Maybe it’s because the 9mm polymer pistol market already has approximately 46,000 choices.

Maybe it’s because I’m getting old and increasingly hostile toward things I don’t understand.

Maybe it’s because Turkey seems determined to manufacture EVERY fi***rm concept ever created until eventually they accidentally clone themselves.

I don’t know.

But here we are.

The annoying part?

For somebody looking for a straightforward new 9mm, it actually has a decent feature set.

Optics ready.
Threaded barrel.
Simple controls.

So now I have to stand here and acknowledge that this weird little bastard might actually make sense for somebody.

I hate that too. 😂

Facebook doesn’t allow fi***rm sales, so we are simply sharing BigRed’s completely unnecessary emotional reaction to a Turkish pistol.

Want to investigate the thing I apparently have beef with?

Hey, did you know Frontiersmen Fi****ms actually has hours of operation?

Crazy, right? 😂

BigRed’s kids have officially destroyed any illusion that weekday hours were going to remain predictable.

Sports.
Practices.
Games.
Running somebody somewhere.
Realizing 20 minutes later that somebody else also needed to be somewhere.

You know. Parenting. 😆

So we’re simplifying things.

NEW REGULAR HOURS:

Friday: 5:30 PM – 9:00 PM
Saturday: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Sunday: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

And during the week?

You can ALWAYS make an appointment.

Seriously. If you need to stop in Monday through Thursday, just call or text me and we’ll work something out. That system actually works a hell of a lot better than pretending I’m going to sit here staring at the wall while three kids have practices in three different directions.

We’re still here.
We’re still working.
We’re still answering the phone.
You just might have to communicate with me like it’s 2007. 😂

I guess we’re on a 1911 kick now. 😂

This time we’ve got a Rock Island Armory M1911A1 chambered in 9mm.

Yes.

9mm.

Somewhere, a man wearing a “TWO WORLD WARS” shirt just felt a disturbance in the force. 😆

And before anybody asks:

Yes, BigRed is still a C**t purist.

No, that does not mean I’m incapable of admitting Rock Island makes a perfectly respectable working 1911.

I can hold two thoughts at once.

The internet will survive.

This one is a full-size steel 1911, single-action, traditional controls, fixed sights, and absolutely none of the modern polymer-pistol nonsense.

It also has wear.

A LOT of wear.

This thing looks like somebody carried it under the seat of a pickup truck next to three loose sockets, a petrified french fry, and a Sheetz receipt from 2017.

Then possibly threw it down a staircase.

Retrieved it.

Looked at it.

And threw it down the staircase again. 😂

Do I know that happened?

No.

But the cosmetic evidence has presented a fairly compelling case.

The good news is you will NEVER have to experience the emotional trauma of putting the first scratch on it.

That milestone has been handled.

Several times.

And yes, one of the photos is upside down.

Marketing.

You stopped and looked, didn’t you? 😆

Facebook doesn’t allow fi***rm sales, so if you want more information you’ll have to find another way to communicate with us.

Call.
Text.
Walk into the shop.
Visit the website.
Send smoke signals.
Ask Hank.
Find Igor and tell him somebody chambered an American pistol made in the Philippines in 9mm.

That should keep him occupied for a while.

09/03/2026

Look at this fu***ng thing. 😂

This is a 1911A1 in .45 ACP built on an API forged steel frame with what appear to be Rock Island / Armscor components.

And before the 1911 historians start stretching their fingers:

No, I am not pretending this is some mystical factory API 1911.

API made the forged frame.

The rest appears to be a Rock Island / Armscor parts-kit build that somebody assembled with one basic goal:

Make it go bang.

Now, as many of you already know, BigRed is a C**t purist.

Which means every time I look at a non-C**t 1911, a tiny part of me becomes irrationally annoyed for no good reason. 😆

C**t made the damn thing.

Everybody else has basically spent the last hundred years saying:

“Yeah, but what if WE made one?”

And yet...

I kind of like this ugly bastard.

The frame is respectable.

The slide?

Holy s**t.

It has the subtle refinement of something Igor finished at 11:30 at night with a file, a hammer, and rapidly declining patience.

It is not “battle worn.”

It is not “artisan finished.”

It is not “custom patina.”

It is crude. 😂

But that also gives it a certain charm.

This is not the 1911 you put under glass and admire while talking about roll marks.

This is the 1911 you throw in a range bag, shoot the hell out of, and never once worry about putting the first scratch on it because that ship sailed a long damn time ago.

Would BigRed choose a C**t?

Of course.

I have standards. 😆

Would I still shoot this?

Also yes.

If you look at it and think:

“That thing is ugly as hell... I kinda want it.”

Congratulations.

You understand the assignment.

Facebook doesn’t allow fi***rm sales, so we’re simply documenting another questionable piece of machinery that wandered into Frontiersmen.
