Five years ago, Towamensing took home its first District 18 softball title.

Last night, team Carbon, a combo team of Towamensing and JT brought home the latest. Towamensing was represented by McKenna Gildner, Sophia Fiouris, Alexa Becker, Jolinna Olavarria, Lianna Olavarria, and Lindsay Baumgardt.

Congratulations to the Carbon Majors team for capturing the District 18 championship!

Friday nights 4-3 walk-off win over Weatherly capped a comeback from the losers bracket. The team’s 4th straight win in as many days earned Carbon a spot in the sectional tournament in Minersville next week.

Great job girls and good luck next week!
