Ironically, the people who struggle most with moderation are often the ones who've spent years trying to completely avoid those foods in the first place.

When a food is always "off limits," it tends to become more tempting, more exciting, and harder to stop eating when you finally have it. (I know this from lived experience. No thank you)

And OBVIOUSLY "moderation" without boundaries can mean absolutely anything. The way I teach moderation to clients is that whole, nutrient dense foods remain the majority of our diet, the majority of the time. The rest can fall into the minority ✌️

You don't need a bunch of fancy gym equipment in order to get started with strength training!

✨️ Must haves:

✔️ Dumbbells/Kettlebells up to 25lb
✔️ Bands/Furniture

✨️ Nice to haves:

✔️ TRX/Suspension Trainer
✔️ Adjustable DB (mine go up to 44lb but many go higher!)
✔️ Bench/Box
✔️ Squat Rack
✔️ Barbell & Plates
✔️ Cable Machine

Or whatever else you want to add on!

Just get started!!

Are your excuses valid?

I'm gonna say this with my entire chest:

Yes!! And they will always tell us more about what is actually going on!

Don't write off your excuses. Get curious! It's how we can figure out how to work through them ❤️

If you're gonna weigh yourself, it's important to understand the scale because bodyfat and scale weight aren't mutually exclusive.

You can lose 50lb of bodyfat and then put on 15lb of muscle, but according to the scale, you've gained weight.

That weight is good, though!!

Also, your weight will fluctuate for a lot of reasons!! Keep these in mind when you step on the scale. It might not be as bad as you think.

We may not want to do it... but that doesn't mean we can't make it more enjoyable when we do!
