Congratulations to Matt Lochie as he defended his last years Club Championship title with today winning this years 2026 overall club championship with a 1 over par 34! Tim wood won the senior title for the 2nd time in his career and winning the Super Senior title was Jim Schumacher!! In the Women’s division Jennifer Oustrich beat our Marge MacArt for the title with an eagle approach shot on hole 9 heard around the golf course !! In the Junior Championship it was again Aaron Merrifield for his 3rd straight victory and Mila DeMeck finishing 2nd place !

Scott Greens Golf Club will be holding a Junior Varsity Golf Tournament on Saturday September 19th with a shotgun start at 8:30. This is a boys and girls event run very similar to our Summer Jr. series. Hit the link below for more information. This 9 hole event will include golf, light snacks, and medals awarded after conclusion of play! $20 per player

It’s a 2 for 2 wins for our “A Swing for Life” golf academy with Madison Walker ( Tunkhannock) winning the “Girls Tryba” tournament yesterday and today at the AnnMarie Simon’s tournament at Tall Pines Bri Moffatt ( Abington Hts.) winning the tournament with a 75 🏆Great job girls and keep it going⛳️

This week delivered a handful of eye‑opening record‑breakers across the Scott Greens Wednesday Night Mixed league. Three teams came in a full five strokes under their season averages: the Slice Girls (Sandy O'Connor and Joanne Ryczak) posted a sharp 40, the Gilmore Sisters (Jennifer Oustrich and Rebekah Fangio) fired a 1‑under‑par 32, and Mac Attack (Bernie and Dave Mackrell) lit it up with a remarkable 5‑under‑par 28, powered by five birdies—just missing three more birds that quite literally flew away. But the most jaw‑dropping performance belonged to Rock Heads (Jim Schumacher and Mike Williamson), who shattered their season average by ten strokes with a 1‑under‑par 32 and also claimed the Division I low net with an impressive 23. Division II’s low net honors were shared by the Gilmore Sisters and Slice Girls, both finishing at 28. Additional highlights included Joanne of Slice Girls driving the green on Hole #4, Roseanne Wallace of Sweet T**z sinking a birdie on Hole #2, and teammate Jeanne Simon dropping another on Hole #5. As for current standings: in Division I, the Birds (Robin Powell and Frank Giovagnoli) and Rock Heads are tied at 16 points, followed by Reckless Drivers (Patti and Mike Catalano) and Mac Attack at 13. Division II is led by the Slice Girls with 17 points, trailed by Two Beauties (Dave Jenkins and Bill Craig) at 15 and the Putters (Sharon Thauer and Theresa Matteucci) at 14.

What a great way to celebrate a birthday today as our Mid Valley golf team had it 2nd best finish in the schools history for our opening tournament at the Simon’s boys classic. Also huge kudos to Lakeland boys who finished in 3rd place and Holy Cross finishing in 5th place !! All 3 teams play and call SGGC their home course⛳️

What a great showing in our 22nd Annual SGGC Girls Golf Classic with a record breaking 67 varsity girls participating this year from teams around the area. Also in this years tournament- we had for only the 2nd time in its history, co- team champions with both Abington Hts. and Riverside scoring 114 from their top 3 scores!! And to add to the record books we had a 3 way tie for medalist with 3 over par 37s as Abington’s Brianna Moffatt, Margot Grad, and Riverside’s Raigan Monahan found a way to beat the tricky greens and layout for this event. Riversides Frankie Wincovitch shot a 38 to place T4, and Emma Bisignani and Tunkhannock’s Paige Spudis T5 with 39’s.
