This is going to be a long one:
As I’m sure many have seen, last night just didn’t go our way. A broken center link took us out about halfway through after contact coming out of 4.
We would have loved to have come away with a championship, but coming up 2nd to the #6 Lavoie Racing is a huge accomplishment. He’s one of the best to do it in the Limiteds- congrats to them and all the 2026 Stafford champions.
We never expected to end up where we did, we came to the track this year hoping for ONE win. We did that and to come up second in points was beyond what we could have guessed in the beginning of the season. So overall we are extremely happy with what we accomplished.
The Limited Late Models are REALLY competitive. It was a huge adjustment for Norman to make, coming into them from another track, and he clearly did it.
Thanks to Stafford Motor Speedway for providing an excellent facility and a long list of contingency sponsors!
We accomplished all of this as a family this year, no big sponsor, no chassis builder, we even do all of our own graphics.
On that note we wanted to give a shout out to some people who make this possible and give you an idea of who is behind this family operation:
Norman Root - Dad is the mastermind, the chassis guy, the fix anything that’s broken guy. He’s the one that puts in countless hours in the shop, and then brings his chassis books to read on vacations. He tows the car to the track every week on the long haul.None of this would be possible without his knowledge and dedication.
Jackie Blake Root- Mom is our LOUDEST supporter both on the track and off. You can often hear her yelling “go buddy bear” in the pit stands during the race. Mom also does vinyl installation and spends countless hours in the shop wrapping the car and repairing vinyl. (Margaritas not optional during installation 😂). Mom makes sure we’ve got everything we need all the time and often is double checking Dad…..just in case.
Norman Root III- Norman is obviously the driver, but he’s much more. He’s in the shop with dad scaling the car. He’s fixing anything on the car he messed up the week before. He’s improving and learning every lap he turns at the speedway.
Dennis- for his weekly dedication. Every Friday Dennis is ready to help with whatever is needed. He often provides many laughs on the ride to and from the speedway no matter how the night went.
Kelsey Root Maynard- Kels is responsible for all the crazy stuff you see on here that Norman hates participating in 😂. She tries her best to keep everyone updated on what’s going on from Facebook. She also designs and cuts all of the vinyl decals for the car.
Megan Turley, Nate Appell and Eve, Ikechukwu Chima, Edward Gertsch, Jaxon James - for all your love and support, we hope you know it means the world
