Three Nebu crew members converged on Vegas for a day at Red Rock. rolling in from St. George, up from J-Tree, and founder Nate down from Ogden.
First stop was the second pullout, where they crossed paths with a strong crew out of Phoenix, including two Naval Academy seniors headed into the Marine Corps. Semper Fi. Instant connection over AZ climbing, especially Cochise, and the Marines. One of them, Chase, happened to be the same pant size as Nate. By the time Chase made it to Yaak Crack, he was climbing in Nate’s Rob Roys, however they came to be in his possession. Those pants went for a big, airy whip one move before the chains. A proper fitting.
From there, the crew hit the classics (and a few non-classics) at The Gallery before pushing deeper into the park. Next stop: Children’s Crag, which is absolutely not for children. Several one-bolt slab routes later, the day took a memorable turn when Potter found himself running a ledge rescue. No further details required.
The day wrapped with a stop at the old hidden falls, a solid finish before the long drives back in three different directions.
