Yoga With Laura E-RYT 200 | YACEP
Taking care of your mind, body, and soul through breath, movement, and healing sound.

My approach is adaptive and trauma-informed with a focus on Vinyasa, Yin, and Sound Healing. Laura has been teaching yoga full-time for three years, sharing her passion for the practice in studios, corporate settings, and the great outdoors. A lifelong student of yoga, her journey began in 1999 at Piedmont Yoga Studio and quickly became more than a physical discipline—it became a sanctuary for hea

ling from the trauma of childhood abuse. Yoga offered Laura a profound sense of being seen, loved, and accepted, inspiring her to help others discover the transformative power within this beautiful practice. Born and raised in Oakland, California Laura's love for movement and expression spans decades, from her roots in dance and musical theater to marathon running. After a 30 year career in event management left her feeling burned out and overwhelmed, she courageously pivoted to pursue her true passion as a yoga teacher in 2021. Laura’s teaching is rooted in love, healing, and inclusivity, offering a safe space for all to explore their unique journeys. She remains deeply grateful for yoga’s role in her own transformation and is dedicated to sharing its gifts with others, guiding them toward growth, self-discovery, and well-being. The Malecón in the middle of the day feels like its own kind of rhythm 🇲🇽 sun overhead, music spilling into the street, street performers, waves crashing beside the boardwalk, and people everywhere moving in every direction at once!

Cold tuba fresca with apples and pecans and grilled shrimp tacos by the water.... ahhhhhh 🍎🥥🍤

Somewhere between the ocean air, the bright colors, and saying "no gracias" a hundred times 🤣 we're hot, happy, and fully immersed in Puerto Vallarta!!!

There's something humbling about rolling out a mat beside the ocean at the start of the morning, as everyone just starts waking up 🌊☀️😊

And sometimes… you just end up starfished on the warm deck absorbing the morning energy instead 😂

Salt air, soft light, barefoot mornings, and the reminder that simply being is enough... feeling very grateful for this beautiful little adventure in Puerto Vallarta 🧘🏻‍♀️🇲🇽💜

A retreat isn't always about getting away, sometimes it's about returning...

Returning to your body...
to stillness...
to presence...
to the quieter parts of yourself that are so easy to lose in the noise of everyday life.

Beyond grateful for this beautiful day in Tomales Bay with Rose , the invitation to slow down and simply be, and for the reminder that caring for ourselves can be intentional, nourishing, and deeply healing.

Not a retreat away from life.
A retreat toward myself. 💜🙏🏼💜

Today, I honor all expressions of motherhood 💜

The mothers raising children.
The women longing to become mothers.
The women grieving their mothers.
The women healing from their mothers.
The women mothering themselves through seasons no one else can fully see.

To be a woman in this world takes strength, tenderness, resilience, intuition, courage, and an incredible capacity to care for others while still learning how to care for ourselves.

And maybe that's the reminder today...
to rest and call it self-care...
to listen to our bodies before our to-do lists....
to allow ourselves to be joyful for absolutely No Reason At All.

We are the nurturers, yes - but we are also worthy of the same love, compassion, and care we so freely offer everyone else.

Sending love today to every woman walking her own unique path. We belong to each other. ✨💓🙏🏼
