Happy New Bike Day to our dude Taylor!!!! Taylor is just as stoked as we are for the new currently under construction Iowa City Pump Track! Not only do we have BMX Bikes and Dirt Jumpers but we’ve got options!! We talked over some of the options and Taylor decided this sick rigid Fairdale Bikes Hareraiser was the way to go! Taylor’s got the bike…. now all that’s left to do is wait! Here’s to hoping for good weather so the crew that’s hard at work can get that track finished. Our Employee & Friends Shop Trip to Dubuque last week was a huge success. It was awesome to get a guided tour of FDR Park and it’s always amazing to go back to IPP. Those trails never get old no matter how much you ride them. The weather was beautiful, the trails were rad, and the leaves are starting to change. It serves as a good reminder that the best few weeks of mountain biking weather are happening right NOW!!! Get out and ride!!! 🤘💨🍁

Our Annual Fall 🍁 Classic Shop Day Ride is this Wednesday October 7th y’all! We will be closed all day as we head to Dubuque for a tour of FDR Park and Interstate Power Preserve Trails! Shout out to relocated IC rider and SBB Team Rider Ben Jansen for showing us around FDR! These are Dubuque’s OG trails and we are super excited to get a guided tour from a local! Stay tuned for a recap and in the meantime enjoy some pics from previous year’s shop day trips!

I’ve been riding past the new Iowa City Skatepark and Pump-Track almost every day since they started construction this Spring. All the rain has really slowed things down but the crew is hard at work every time I ride by! Here’s some videos of the progress. The majority of the skatepark side seems to be close to complete and they’ve got gravel and dirt hauled in to start working on the Pump-Track!
Here’s to hoping for a Late-Fall completion! This thing is a lot bigger than the initial mock ups suggest… the more they complete the more excited I get that it’s going to be a super cool park.

The area’s best tire wall just got even better! We now have the all new SILCA Protocol Gravel and Road Tires in stock to add to our already awesome tire selections! These tires are highly anticipated and we don’t expect them to last long.
These are extremely high performance tires engineered specifically around modern wide profile rims. Silca designed these tires by distilling cross country mountain bike tech into a lighter faster package for gravel riding. We have all models (RCG 1,3, and 4) in all three sizes (45, 50, and 55mm) as well as the new RCR road tires in 34mm and 40mm.
Don’t wait on these until next year…. If history repeats itself these tires will be nearly impossible to get come next year’s gravel season.
