The Exhale Dance Youth Intensive program is excited to welcome master hip-hop teacher, Zanyah Dorfeuille, to the studio today. Learn more about Zanyah below…
Zanyah Dorfeuille is a Boston, Massachusetts native and proud graduate of the illustrious Howard University, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the School of Fine Arts. During her time at Howard, her passion for dance deepened, strengthening her commitment to using the arts as a tool for expression, connection, and community impact.
As an aspiring choreographer, performer, and teaching artist based on the East Coast, Zanyah has trained in a variety of dance styles, including Hip-Hop, Traditional West African, Caribbean Folk, Modern, Ballet, Jazz, and Tap. While she values the versatility each style has given her, her favorite forms to teach and choreograph are Hip-Hop, Modern, Afro-inspired movement, and Traditional West African dance.
Throughout her career, Zanyah has partnered with and instructed for organizations such as Soca Fusion, Soca Lion Entertainment, OrigiNations Cultural Arts Center, Princess Mhoon Dance Institute, the Jackson Summer Program, and other organizations across the East and West Coasts. These experiences have allowed her to work closely with young people and communities that celebrate culture, creativity, and the empowerment of underrepresented voices.
As she continues her artistic journey, Zanyah remains dedicated to inspiring others through movement, education, and performance. She hopes to create spaces where individuals can discover confidence, tell their stories, and connect through the arts—because for Zanyah, dance is more than an art form; it is her primary language to the world.
