What an incredible day we had on Monday at Great Neck Country Club in Waterford!

Their golf and kitchen staff went above and beyond to create a truly memorable experience for everyone involved. From the beautiful condition of the course to the outstanding food and welcoming atmosphere, they were incredible hosts and helped make the day so special.

More than 100 CT Shell Shockers families, friends, supporters, and volunteers came together for a fundraiser benefiting both the CT Shell Shockers and The Miracle League of SECT.

The baseball gods were definitely on our side this year, the weather could not have been more perfect!

With more than 100 raffle and silent auction items up for grabs, the generosity and support from our community was truly overwhelming. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, participated, and helped make this event such a tremendous success.

A special thank you to Steve Cleary for providing live music during our post-golf social, and to videographer Henry Gannoe for capturing the day so beautifully.

This coming Monday, May 18th, we will hold our annual golf fundraiser at Great Neck Country Club in Waterford, CT. Each year, we host an online silent auction to raise funds supporting both the CT Shell Shockers and the Miracle League of SECT.

A huge thank you goes out to the dozens of our event sponsors (who will be personally recognized in a future post) and to everyone who helped collect more than 100 incredible auction and raffle items for this year’s event!

This Sunday, we gather at McCook’s Park to celebrate the life of Rob Swan, former East Lyme Parks & Recreation Park Foreman, devoted educator, teammate, and friend.

Rob’s kindness, dedication, and love for this community left a lasting impact on so many of us. Though his passing at just 58 is an unimaginable loss, his legacy will continue through the people and places he cared for so deeply.

Rob, thank you for all you’ve done for everyone, especially the boys and girls of the CT Shell Shockers. Your impact will never be forgotten.

Please join us in honoring Rob and sharing memories of a truly special man.
