Last night was one of our favorite trips of the year! Our annual veterans fishing trip with the Northeast Saltwater Fishing Club! We love this trip every year- special thanks to all those who make it possible! And most importantly, thanks to our veterans for their service and for a great night out on the water. Check out these photos and article from The Day. We already can't wait for next year!

For 15 years the Blackhawk fishing boat out of Niantic and Northeast Saltwater Fishing Club have been bringing a group of vets on a charter fishing trip.

We had a great private charter today- beautiful weather, good fishing, and a great group of people! Plenty of porgies with some seabass in the mix as well. Trying something a little different! Congrats to Jonathan P, who joined us tonight for our sunset cruise and won a gift certificate to Family Pizza Restaurant in Niantic just for joining us! Today's trip didn't start off as planned, when we had some unfavorable conditions that weren't predicted so we had to make a few moves. We managed to pick away on every drop, but at the end of the tide and day, it was game on. We quickly got limits of scup with some nice seabass and triggerfish mixed in. Mother Nature can be a tough business partner sometimes! We'll be back at it tomorrow and the rest of the week, so grab your tickets and join us!
