Just a friendly reminder to complete your re-registration for the upcoming 2020 summer season. The form is only open until this Sunday (6/14) and we will be moving rapidly to form teams after that date.

Please remember that summer 2020 play is open to those players who had previously registered for AAA, Majors and AA players who had expressed an interest in playing at the AAA level. Selection for play and placement on teams will be at the discretion of the evaluation committee.

Thank you for your attention in this matter and please don't hesitate to contact me or any board member with questions or concerns.

After receiving guidance from the East Lyme Parks and Recreation Department, the Board of Directors for East Lyme Little League is pleased to announce that we will offer a program for Summer 2020 at the AAA and Majors levels.
While this season will be shortened, it will look very similar to the traditional spring little league season. Practices will begin at the end of June and games will be played in July/August.
The summer season will be open to players who have previously registered for ELLL in spring 2020 and are in the 8, 9 and 10-12 age brackets, with the following stipulations:

8 year old players who were evaluated in March 2020. Based on these evaluations, players in this category who registered for AAA or registered for AA but expressed interest in playing AAA may be considered for AAA rosters. Final selection for summer play will be based on evaluation data and will rest with the evaluation committee.

9 year old players who were evaluated in March 2020. Based on these evaluations, players in this age bracket may be considered for summer play. Final selection for summer play will be based on evaluation data and will rest with the evaluation committee

All other players will be placed in an appropriate level as determined by the evaluation committee.

Players at any level considered to be a safety risk by the evaluation committee will be ineligible for play and will be contacted by ELLL individually. Final selection for summer play will be based on evaluation data and will rest with the evaluation committee.

Registration is open effective immediately and will close on Sunday June 14th. Please go to the ELLL website and register your player(s) for the season as soon as possible. Teams will be selected in the next two weeks and coaches will contact you and your players shortly.

East Lyme Little League has decided that it will waive all fees for the 2020 Spring/Summer season. This does NOT mean we are cancelling the season. In fact, we are hopeful we will be able to provide a summer baseball/softball season similar to what we do in the Spring. So that we can provide an accurate accounting of refunds going out, we have created a Refund Request Form using Google Forms. Only those that fill out a form will receive a refund. For parents/guardians not requesting a refund, we will simply use those funds to offset any cost of a potential 2020 Summer Season, purchasing necessary equipment, and towards maintaining/improving our fields.

The board has also decided that any baseball/softball activities that are made available will be free to those members who registered for this spring. This also includes any member who requests a refund. The East Lyme community, including local businesses, volunteers, town officials, and its citizens have always been so supportive of us over the years. This is our way of trying to give back during these difficult times.
