Fascia is only just beginning to take over what we know about athletic performance.

What is it you ask?

“Fascia is the biological fabric that holds us together, the connective tissue network. You’re just under-recovered.

Every coach tells you to “stay fit”

Yet they want the players that dominate...

You feeling sluggish or slow on the pitch is not a “fitness issue”.

Unless you truly are an amateur footballer who is out of shape.

Here’s the three problems:

1. Your metabolic flexibility is trash 🗑️ (Your ability to switch from fats and carbs as an energy source)

2. Your energy utilization is trash 🪫 (Your ability to switch from aerobic to anaerobic based on movement intensity)

3. Your elasticity is trash 🪢 (How well your fascia recycles force)

All year long you are in survival mode stuck at medium level intensities.

The summer is the time to train the highs and lows.

That means:

🚶🏼 Long walks in the morning
Sprints in the afternoons

⚽️ Small sided a few times a week going all out

You don’t get more fit by just “running cardio”

You hear the term “elastic” a lot when describing the best athletes or footballers in the world.

What does that actually mean?

It means your entire body is able to bend, move, twist, contract, and produce power dynamically… in order to provide you strength and speed effortlessly.

That’s why you need to make sure you have supple movement as a footballer.

And the only way to develop that is by:

- Developing Elite Ankle Stiffness
- Fixing Toe Retraction
- Having Prominent ExtensorTendons
- Prominent Anterior Tibialis Tendon
- Supple Posterior Chain
- Properly Lubricating the Body with Real Food and Nutrients
- Optimizing Rest and Recovery

The truth is injuries aren’t random.

Every injury has a cause.

And it’s probably something you ignored time and time again.

Until eventually… POP.

Animals in nature don’t have catastrophic non-contact ligament tears.

Domesticated animals do.

Most footballers waste their off-season.

They spend thousands on a 30th-floor luxury hotel, swim in chlorinated pools, and destroy their sleep schedule, then wonder why they turn up to pre-season feeling sluggish and injury-prone.

If you care about your performance, your holiday shouldn’t break your body down. It should rebuild it from the cells up.
