What’s today? Testing day!

Our summer testing is today at the dojo.
- Students who are testing should bring any sparring equipment they have.
- add 10 minutes extra for traffic
and parking.
- party at 5:15 PM!

We recently did a demo at a local event. Demos are very exciting. They’re exciting for the people who watch, but also for the people who participate in them. And for me, I love watching both groups. We don’t have a demo team in our Dojo. The week before we usually put up a sheet inviting people to participate. I never know who’s going to sign up, low ranks, high ranks, young or old. Usually the participants of the demo don’t know what they’ll be doing that day. It’s great life skills to be taken out of your comfort zone. Also using public speaking skills.
This demo I’m showing here. I did give them a little time to practice the class before, and the day of. They pulled it off so beautifully. I was so proud also listening to the crowd was so much fun.

We are excited for Alexi to return next week from Japan. She has been Working/learning there for the past 8 months. She will share her experiences and knowledge with the students, and some treats too! We are so proud of her! It takes serious courage to more to a different country and we are definitely impressed.
Karate is more than punching and kicking. Students learn skills that help them excel in life. 💪🏻😃
