64 and still me. 💗

I’m not waiting for you to approve my ideas or opinions. I’m driving the bus.

I lead with empathy AND authority. I’ve earned both.

And my WHY? It leads right back to YOU.

The women who know they have more to contribute, more to build, and more to say.

You’re in a place where the universe sees you and hears you. And I want you to know that I do, too.

At 64, I get to do work I believe in, with women I believe in, on my own terms.

I’ve always found that fascinating about women. Sometimes we believe in each other more fiercely than we believe in ourselves.

And thank God for the women who refuse to let us forget what we’re made of.

One minute you're leading meetings, solving million-dollar problems, making decisions people respect.

The next minute, you're Googling things at 11:30 PM, wondering why your Canva font suddenly changed size for absolutely no reason.

Humbling.

And if that's you right now, hear me out.

You didn't get less smart when you left corporate.

You walked out of a building that did half your visibility for you. The title. The team. The built-in credibility. Nobody ever had to wonder who you were.

Now you're learning a whole new language while you build a business, at an age when everyone assumes you already know everything.

That's a lot. Give yourself some grace.

Being brand new at something doesn't erase the decades you spent being exceptional at everything else.

There is something powerful about looking back at the woman you used to be and finally giving her some grace.

She made decisions with the knowledge she had. She trusted people she shouldn’t have. She stayed in situations too long. She made mistakes. And sometimes, she was simply trying to survive.

But she also got you here.

I think one of the greatest gifts of getting older is realizing that we don’t have to keep putting our younger selves on trial.

We know more now. We’ve lived more. We’ve earned some wisdom, often the hard way.

And Maya Angelou’s message is a beautiful reminder that growth isn’t about punishing who we were. It’s about honoring what we learned and doing something worthwhile with it.

So give that younger version of yourself a little credit.

She was figuring things out.

And look how far she’s brought you. ❤️

Since moving to the country, it's been easy to find peaceful moments where having more than work takes on new meaning.

I don't take the "aliveness" for granted.

And then there's the matter of Kevin the wonderdog who keeps me grounded.

Alive and grounded. Yes, yes!?

What grounds you and makes you feel alive?

If you need a farm day with goats, say when!
