Hope everyone is off to a good start this school year. The Jayhawk Wrestling Club will be starting up the Wednesday after Labor Day, Sept. 9th.

Fall Team Rate will be $300, Includes all ages from your school (youth, middle & high school)

We will be attending some tournaments as a club this fall. We will be encouraging all club members to attend these tournaments, but they are not required.

Having a USA Wrestling Membership & a WAAM Membership will be required to attend all tournaments.

Tournaments:
1.) Grappler Fall Classic - 9/25&26/26 @ Cedar Point Sports Center - Sandusky, OH - NO Membership needed

2.) Fall Brawl - 10/10/26 @ Cornerstone College - Grand Rapids, MI - WAAM

3.) MI Grappler Pre-season Challenge - 11/8/26 @ Legacy Center - Brighton, MI - USA Wrestling

One Tournament a month is our goal. There may be additional tournaments to attend.

7.15.26 - Practice for tonight is canceled. Sorry to have to cancel with such short notice. My back gave up on keeping last night and I can't stand up straight.

We will still plan to practice next week.

Great practice last night. Coach Taylor McPhail showed some great spiral ride techniques. Taylor was an All-State wrestler for Mona Shores and competed all four years for Alma College.

Next practice is Wednesday night.
Youth - 5:30 to 6:30
MS/HS - 6:30 to 8

Committed teams - Grant, Muskegon, Holton, MI High/Middle School Wrestling, Mona Shores, Ravenna Bulldog Wrestling, Fremont, Fruitport, Whitehall, Reeths-Puffer, Grand Haven Wrestling, Newago, Oakridge, Spring Lake, Orchard View.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE UPDATE! Numbers are too big to stay the same. Great problem, but we feel we are not doing the kids the best we could with the numbers we have at practice.

Starting this Wednesday, April 1st (not an April fools joke)
Youth/Beginner - 5:30 to 6:30
MS&HS - 6:30 to 8

Parents, it is your call which practice you attend. If you want to attend both to see where your child best fits, feel free to do so.
