Member Spotlight of the Month - Trevor Cunningham

Trevor is a baseball player from Mona Shores High School that just completed his first season with the Muskegon Community College Jayhawks. Trevor has been training with us for over two years and has pushed himself to improve his fitness, add lean muscle, and improve his power at the plate. The proof of his hard work is shown in the testing we perform with all of our sports performance members:

Reactive Strength in Drop Jump - 55% improvement
Eccentric Duration in Drop Jump - 27% improvement
Peak Power Output in Countermovement Jump - 27% improvement
Increase in Vertical Jump Height - 5 in. increase

All of this is with the addition of 12 lbs of lean muscle mass that has been added to Trevor's frame recently.

At Trinity Health Sports Performance & Rehab, we don’t use generic spreadsheet templates. We analyze each member’s testing results to create individualized training plans that target the areas most impactful to your performance, recovery, and overall goals.

National CPR & AED Awareness Week!

Sudden cardiac arrest is one of the leading causes of death on school campuses- nearly 40% occur during sports and physical activity. With Trained responders and AEDs, lives can be saved.

Thanks to our Athletic Trainer Jerrod Harrison and Nurse Educator Jessica DeJonge, Western Michigan Christian High School has now applied to be a Michigan Heartsafe School. ❤️

Trinity health athletic trainers and rehab educators continue to lead the way- training our community in CPR, AED, and First Aid to keep students and schools safe.

⛳️💚 Team Time On and Off the Clock! 💚⛳️

At Trinity Health Rehabilitation, we believe great teamwork doesn’t just happen in the clinic—it’s built through connection, laughter, and shared experiences.

This weekend, our team traded in treatment tables for tee boxes and enjoyed a fun day bonding on the golf course! 🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️

Because when we strengthen our team, we strengthen the care we provide to our patients every day. đź’Ş

On World MS Day, Trinity Health Rehabilitation Group is helping raise awareness about multiple sclerosis (MS) and its impact on individuals and families in our community.
MS is a chronic disease of the central nervous system that disrupts communication between the brain and body. Symptoms can vary widely and may include fatigue, weakness, balance issues, and changes in mobility or coordination. While there is no cure, early diagnosis and ongoing management can help improve function and quality of life.
Our rehabilitation team works alongside individuals living with MS to address these challenges—focusing on strength, mobility, balance, and independence at every stage of the condition.
By increasing awareness and understanding, we can better support those living with MS and build a stronger, more informed community.

On National Heat Awareness Day, Trinity Health Rehabilitation Group encourages our community to stay mindful of heat-related risks as temperatures rise.
Proper hydration, rest breaks, and recognizing early signs of heat-related illness are key to staying safe during warmer months—especially for those staying active outdoors.
Quick Hydration Tips:
✅ Drink water consistently throughout the day—not just when you feel thirsty
âś… Increase fluids during activity or time spent outdoors
âś…Avoid excessive caffeine or alcohol, which can contribute to dehydration
âś…Watch for signs of dehydration like fatigue, dizziness, or dark urine
We also recognize and appreciate our Athletic Trainers, who play an important role in prevention, education, and keeping athletes and active individuals safe in the heat. Your knowledge and steady presence make a meaningful difference.
