A couple weekends ago I got to participate in for the second time (not Rx this time thank goodness)!
It's taken me a couple of weeks to process exactly how I felt about my performance. It isn't nearly where I want it to be, but that's okay.
I was 100% the limiting factor on my team, and I have nothing but gratitude for and for not sweating me sh****ng the bed throughout basically the entire day.
Workout 1 I got buried by the worm squats and got super lightheaded to the point I couldn't stand up. Workout 2/3 was better (20 # PR on my clean, hell yeah) but I tweaked my knee. In workout 4 my knee literally gave out and we had to adjust on the fly to even keep moving.
While I'm not happy at all about how I performed and how my body didn't hold up, I am still glad I competed. It was a great day for it, the event itself is always SUPER well run (shout-out to the event 1 judge and medical staff making absolutely sure I was okay), and now I have even more motivation to get after it every day.
When things don't go your way, there's only one thing to do: work harder.
