“Is it possible I’ve never used my hamstrings before?” -.lob 🤣

Lots of programs prioritize high heart rates over muscular tension.

-Move fast
-Endless reps.
-Zero real tension where it counts.

When we get people to load and move appropriately we can get more strength work done in 4 sets across 10 minutes than others can in an hour.

That’s what happens when you cut the junk volume
and train with intention.

More tension.
Less fluff.
Better results.

We used bands today during our conditioning, not to make squats harder, but to make positions better.

Using a band to cue you to build tension forces you to own the bottom instead of falling into it.

Better positions → better reps → better results.

One of the advantages of in house programming is the ability for me to see general areas for improvement across the gyms member base and come up with solutions either the next week or in the next training block. Coaching cues work in the moment but the real way you help people move and perform better is by giving them the opportunity to practice and progress week to week.

Last training block I noticed a lot of people either cutting depth from not opening the hips, or crashing into the bottom with no tension. The band cleaned up both.

Thank you to everyone for trusting the process and being willing to try new things.
