Happy Monday. Sunday's ENDEAVOR Weekly Fuel landed on something worth repeating here.
A meta-analysis in Psychological Bulletin (Harkin et al., 2016) pulled together 138 studies and almost 20,000 people and found one thing that reliably moves people from intention to outcome: monitoring progress toward a goal, consistently and visibly. The effect got stronger when people wrote the tracking down or made it public instead of just holding it in their head. Your brain isn't built to hold a goal and a feedback loop at the same time without help. Writing does that work for you.
Translation: "get healthier" and "get stronger" aren't goals, they're moods. A goal has a date, a number, and a weekly action attached to it.
This week's move: pick one goal, write it using this format, "By [date], I will [specific outcome] by doing [weekly action]," and put it somewhere you'll see daily, lock screen, mirror, fridge. Then bring it to your coach, that's exactly what your 90-Day Goal Review Sessions are for (more to come on these!).
You're not guessing anymore. You're tracking. See you in the club.
