This morning we struggled, sweat, and pushed our limits together—but the purpose of Murph is far greater than fitness. Today we honor the sacrifices of those who gave everything for our freedom. Proud of this crew for showing up and remembering why we do it. 🇺🇸
Watching our members encourage one another through every mile, pull-up, push-up, and squat is what makes this community so special.

Tomorrow is Memorial Day! As we gather with family and friends start your day with CrossFit Tempest doing a Hero workout, "Murph". There are many options in how someone can do this workout and we encourage our community to come and do something hard with us! Signup sheet is attached below.

“Murph” is a HeroWOD workout; these workouts are an important staple in CrossFit as they honor first responders and service members who have fallen in the line of duty.

“Murph” honors the great Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy who was killed in Afghanistan on June 28th 2005, protecting his country and fellow soldiers. This specific workout was one of Murphy’s favorites; he called it “Body Armour” and so after his passing it was named after him.

We are a few days from celebrating Memorial Day! CrossFit Tempest invites the community to join us at 8:30AM @ 960 N. Ohlman St, Suite #1 for the biggest Hero workout of the year, The Murph. Modifications to the workout are available for everyone!
