Please join us in congratulating Program Coordinator James Golisano, who successfully passed the National Recreation & Parks Association; Certified Parks and Recreation Executive (CPRE) Certification Exam yesterday!

The CPRE is the highest professional certification offered by the National Recreation and Park Association, and James now joins a select group of fewer than 1,000 professionals nationwide who have earned this prestigious credential.

Even more impressive, James is only the 2nd professional in New Hampshire to obtain this certification. (Director of Parks & Recreation, Matt Casparius, was the first person in NH).

On August 16th the NH State Outdoor Archery Championship was held at Pioneer Sportsmans Club in Dunbarton, NH. Our very own Phoenix Archery had a strong contingent of archers participate. In all 5 Phoenix Archers won medals with 4 State Champions for 2026.

Today, members of the club stopped by Camp Naticook to present a $4,000 donation to our Camp Scholarship Fund. 🎉🏕️

This generous donation helps provide children from families experiencing financial hardship with the opportunity to attend Camp Naticook and enjoy all the fun, friendships, and memories that summer camp has to offer. ☀️💦🌲

Merrimack Parks & Recreation and the Merrimack Public Library invite families to join us Thursday, August 13, at 6:00 p.m. for the final concert of the 2026 Thursday Night Live Summer Concert Series!

For the season finale, we’re welcoming Pam Felber of Ziggity Zag Music for a fun-filled, interactive musical experience designed especially for young children and their families.

Pam’s performances feature a lively mix of traditional songs, nursery rhymes, and original music, with plenty of opportunities for children to sing, dance, move and play. Kids will be invited to join in with scarves, stretchy bands, parachutes and simple percussion instruments, including rhythm sticks, shakers, tambourines and bells.

The evening will also incorporate early literacy and music, with a picture book connected to the musical theme. It’s the perfect way to get children moving while encouraging a love of books, music and learning.

The concert also marks the end of the Merrimack Public Library’s Summer Reading Program, making it a special celebration for families who have participated throughout the summer.

So grab the kids, bring a blanket or lawn chair, and come enjoy one last summer evening of music, movement, books and family fun!
