One minute you are crashing through rapids and the next you are floating through a stretch of canyon so quiet it feels like the whole river collectively decided to take a deep breath.

Memorial Day weekend on the Rogue River is hard to beat.

The canyon is green, summer is starting to settle in, and people are finally getting back outside after a long spring. There is a certain kind of peace that comes with a few days by the water this time of year.
