Just a few photos of the fishing on the the Rogue River the last few weeks. As of January 1st I am raising my rates! For a full day of guided fly fishing the rate is going up $50.00 to $475.00. if you book a guided trip for early 2018 before January 1st you can save the $50.00! Wow, the summer is blowing by and the trout fishing around Clearwater Lodge is GREAT! Lots of big wild rainbows from the Fall River Valley and nice wild rainbows from the Pit River have kept the Lodge humming. Here are just a few photos of some big rainbows last week at Clearwater Lodge.
But now is the time to start thinking about your steelhead fishing for both summer run on the Rogue River and Winter run along the Southern Oregon Coast. The Summer Run Steelhead Fishing on the Rogue River is fantastic right now! Lots of steelhead entering the Rogue River early this summer have made the fishing excellent. With the fish still pouring in the prime time months of September, October and November should be great! If youir thinking about booking a trip for fishing the Rogue River Summer Run give me a call soon. It's also a good time to start looking at dates for fishing the Winter Run Steelhead along the Southern Oregon Coast. The prime time for the coast is mid January through the middle of March. spending some time on the Southern Oregon Coast. The timing for fishing has been tough with all the rain this past two weeks. If you can hit it when the rivers drops into shape you timed it right. Having clients cancel guide dates because of river conditions is common but if your flexable on your trip to southern Oregon it can be really rewarding. Like this Nickel Plated winter run fish. Give me a call and lets hook some Chrome!

OK, it's just before Thanksgiving and day 12 of my improvment on my right knee. If I thought the recovery would go this easy i would of had this surgery years ago. Oh yeah, they didn't do it years ago! Hopefully get through the holiday period and off to the Southern Oregon Coast for Winter Steelhead fishing in early January . The fishing on the Rogue is getting good! Dick and Amy from Washington D.C. had a great day hooking 5 bright fish. The Steelhead fishing should only get better for the next few months. If you get a chance come on up!

Well the summer time fishing has held up to the heat around Clearwater Lodge! although the outside temps have been in the 90s the cold spring water in the area has made the fishing real good.It looks like were going into another blast of heat this week, hopefully it's the last and we start seeing the cooler fall temps.
Start getting ready for fall and winter Steelhead fishing by pulling those rods and flies out of the storage area and making sure everything is in order. although the rivers are compleating blown out right now it's time to think about fishing for Chrome along the Southern Oregon Coast!
