Some problems need more than one perspective.

If you have been in business long enough to know what your challenges are but not quite long enough to have solved them, Peer Perspective was built for exactly that moment.

This is not a networking group. It is not a workshop or a seminar. It is a small, intentional monthly gathering of established business owners who show up ready to have real conversations about the real things that are keeping their businesses from moving forward.

The people in this room value honest dialogue. They are not looking for cheerleaders. They are looking for the kind of peer-level perspective that only comes from sitting across from someone who has faced something similar and is willing to tell the truth about it.

If your business is established, if you already know something needs to change, and if you are finally ready to stop carrying those challenges alone, this is the room for you.

Send us a message to learn more about Peer Perspective and find your next great day.

Your hiring process may be costing you great people and you don’t you realize it. 👀

It is easy to focus on the one thing that feels off and walk right past everything else a person brings to the table. The best teams are not built by finding perfect candidates. They are built by leaders who know how to uncover the whole person and hire from that place.

Ask yourself honestly. Are you evaluating the full picture or just the parts that are easiest to see? Are you presenting your company in an appealing way to the potential candidates too?

☀️ Hiring with empathy is a skill worth developing. Curious? It’s worth a conversation! Let’s chat! 💌

Great day, great day.

First impressions go both ways in hiring.

We spend so much time evaluating whether a candidate is the right fit that we forget they are evaluating us at the same time. From the moment they walk through the door, the clock is already running, and everything they see, hear, and experience is shaping how they feel about working for you.

What does your environment say when someone walks in? Who is greeting them and how? How long do you make them wait, and what are they witnessing while they do? Are your interview questions designed to intimidate or to attract? Do you make them feel like they already belong, or like they still have something to prove?

In a competitive market, the best candidates have options. Earning their yes means showing up as a place where great people want to build something.

We do not get the best by demanding the best. We get the best by being the best.

If you want to work on how you attract and hire talent, that is exactly the kind of work we do together.

This workshop was built for exactly where you are right now.✨

On December 4th Great Day Business Coaching is partnering with Len Kinor of Leonard Kinor Consulting to bring two worlds together in one half-day workshop that works on both your business and the leader running it.

Great Day Business Coaching will guide you through Above the Line Leadership so you can understand how you lead under pressure and walk away with tools to lead with more clarity and intention. Len will walk you through the EOS framework to help you clarify your vision, set your 90-day priorities, and build real traction going into the new year.

You will leave with a working draft of your 2027 vision and strategy, written 90-day priorities, clarity on your core values and how they shape your leadership, and a practical toolkit you can keep using long after the workshop ends.

Hire slow, fire fast. We hear it all the time! Let's talk about that. 👀

I agree with the first part completely, and we can save that conversation for another day. But firing fast? I am not so sure that one always holds up the way we think it does.

There are absolutely moments when fast action is necessary, when someone is showing true toxicity from day one, and the team needs to be protected. If we’re being honest, that is not actually most situations.

Most of the time, when a leader feels the urge to let someone go quickly, the more honest question could be: what did we do to set this person up for success in the first place?

What did onboarding actually look like? How did we integrate them into the existing team? Is anyone mentoring them, making them feel like they belong, helping them understand what good looks like here? Are we doing the things that give people a real shot before we decide they are not working out?

Because if the answer to those questions is not much, then firing fast is not decisive leadership. It is avoiding the harder work of looking inward.

The goal is not to hold onto the wrong people. The goal is to make sure we're fair in deciding who the wrong people are.

I did not expect to feel that much.

If I am being honest, the morning of the ribbon cutting I was carrying the quiet anxiety that comes with throwing a party and not knowing who will show up. This milestone was deeply important to me and somewhere in the back of my mind I was wondering if that would translate to anyone else.

It did. And then some. 🧡

When 3:45 hit and people started walking through the door I was genuinely moved by the number of people who made something that mattered to me matter to them. Who were intentional about their day, about their time, about showing up for someone in their community. That is not something I take lightly and it is not something I will forget.

To my family, Eli, Carah, Brady, and Bob, having you stand by my side at that ribbon cutting meant more than I have words for. You are the reason Great Day exists and having you there reminded me exactly why I do this work.

To everyone who came from my Leadership Toledo family, my clients, the Maumee Chamber community, the Maumee board, and dear friends who simply showed up because they wanted to celebrate with me, thank you. Genuinely. You poured into me in a way that I hope to pour into every person I work with.

And to the Maumee Chamber of Commerce for being part of this moment, I am so grateful to be part of a community that shows up like this.

One great year down. So many more ahead.

Great day, great day. 🌞

Every leader needs a trusted council.

Not a board of directors. Not a formal committee. Just the people who hold space for the heavy stuff so your team does not have to carry it with you.

Raw emotion moves upward or sideways and clear, regulated leadership moves down. It’s not really about suppressing how you feel or pretending everything is fine when it is not. It is about knowing who gets the unfiltered version so that what reaches your team is grounded, clear, and intentional.

Your trusted council might be your coach. Your spouse. A peer group. A mentor. Someone who tells you the truth and holds the weight of it with you without flinching.

Whoever that is for you, knowing who is on that list before you need them is one of the most important things you can do as a leader. Because the hard moments do not send a warning before they arrive.

Who is on yours?

If that list feels shorter than you would like it to be, that is exactly what Peer Perspective and one on one coaching were built for. Send me a quick DM and let’s chat about it!

Rules were made to be broken. There. I said it.

And if that triggered something in you, good. 💛 Sit with that for a second because that reaction is worth exploring.

I am not talking about throwing out your structure or creating chaos for the sake of it. I am talking about the rules, the systems, and the ways of doing things that have been in place so long that nobody remembers why they started in the first place, and nobody has ever stopped to ask if they are still working.

The loyalty that quietly holds a lot of businesses back is not loyalty to the mission or the people. It is loyalty to a rule that stopped serving growth a long time ago and just never got questioned.

When did you last actually review the rules you are running your business by?

That question is a great place to start.

Great day, great day. ☀️
