Today is about dialing in the small stuff — a little precision, a little grounding. Here's a gentle stretch you can do right from a sturdy chair, no equipment needed:

**Try this: Seated Spinal Twist**

1. Sit tall in a sturdy chair, both feet flat on the floor.
2. Rest your right hand on the outside of your left thigh and your left hand on the chair behind you.
3. Inhale to lengthen through the spine; exhale and gently turn toward the left.
4. Hold for 3–5 slow breaths — you should feel a light, comfortable stretch, never a strain.
5. Slowly return to center and repeat on the other side.

It's a simple way to ease tension in the back and shoulders and "dial in" before or after your day. Move slowly, keep breathing, and only go as far as feels good.

Want to take it further? Our hands-on **Assisted Stretching** sessions are professionally guided, gentle, and restorative — a great next step if you'd like more support. Call for more information.

“Movement is a medicine for creating change in a person's physical, emotional, and mental states.” — Carol Welch

Welcome to June — and a new focus: *Movement That Feels Good.* This month isn't about doing more, it's about moving in ways your body actually enjoys. Start the week with one grounded, feel-good choice: a morning walk, a few easy stretches, or your favorite class. That's where momentum begins.

“How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.” — Annie Dillard

End-of-month check-in: how did you move with purpose this month? Notice what felt good. Notice what got a little easier. Notice what you want to carry into June. That awareness is part of the work too.

Moved a little too much this week? Long walk, extra class, weekend yardwork, beach day with the grandkids — your body is sending the bill on Monday. Meet your new favorite “I overdid it” button: the Hyperice Vyper Vibrating Foam Roller.

It is a foam roller and a high-intensity vibrating massage tool in one — three speeds of vibration to wake up tight muscles, loosen knots, boost circulation, and help you bounce back faster. Compact, rechargeable, contoured to stay off your spine, and used by pro athletes and weekend warriors alike.

Roll out the legs after a walk, the back after gardening, the shoulders after a class — and feel the difference the next day.

We sell them here at FitPlan Cape Cod — stop in, try it on the floor, and see why one good roll changes everything.

Friday class highlight: Strength Cycle. Thirty minutes on the bike plus thirty minutes of strength. A little pedal, a little power, a lot of “I did that.” A balanced, energizing way to close out your week feeling strong.

Habit-building tip: pair a healthy meal with something you already do. This Berry Banana Protein Smoothie is a 5-minute, 27g-protein breakfast that pairs perfectly with your morning coffee, your post-walk routine, or right after class. Small, repeatable choices like this are exactly what our WaterShed Program is built around — because the simple stuff, done consistently, is what actually changes things.

“I can’t do the gym anymore — my knees, my back, my everything.” Sound familiar?

Here’s why deep-water training works when the gym hasn’t:
1️⃣ Zero impact. Your joints get a break while your heart and muscles work hard.
2️⃣ Resistance in every direction. You burn more without feeling like you’re grinding.
3️⃣ You can actually recover. Walk out lighter, not wrecked.

It’s the backbone of the summer program we’ve been teasing. Orientation is Tuesday, July 7.
