Abundant Transformations LLC Guiding High-Achieving Moms & Women to Swap Overwhelm & Stress for Superconscious Swagger! You name it, I tried it! Then the pandemic hit in 2020.

I grew up in a loving middle-class family on the South Shore of Boston, MA, with my sister and parents. I was always fascinated by the true meaning of life and remember having long conversations about this at the dinner table with my father. I began researching Astrology, going to psychics, and asking lots of questions in my Theology classes at school. I went to private Catholic schools through Hi

gh School, then went on to receive an Associate's Degree in Computer Science. I worked in the corporate world for over 25 years including the financial industry, an IT staffing firm, and my local town hall. In the midst of my career, I married my soulmate in 2005 and went on to have two beautiful children (and a dog). When my father passed away in 2017, I was devastated, and this continued my search for life's purpose. I read so many personal development books, went to workshops, and researched new science. I tried Reiki, EFT, NLP, hypnosis, Transcendental Meditation, group meditations, affirmations, and positive thinking. This brought so many challenges with isolation, hybrid school, masks, and all the other uncertainty in the world, and I wanted to do everything I could to help my family feel safe and stay positive. I went on an Internet search for resources and stumbled upon an ad from Chris Duncan regarding the Superconscious Recode. I ended up watching the entire ad, and this started a whole new journey for me. I enrolled in the the Magnetic Mind program as a client and knew immediately that this course would change my life. I went on to get my certification in this amazing work and have since shared it with family and friends and have been receiving amazing feedback. The Magnetic Mind program helped me let go of old limiting beliefs that were holding me back from living my fullest potential. I have found purpose in this work and am so excited for what's to come! If you want to learn how to manifest and live a life you love, I'd be honored to be your coach!

What's your definition of selfish? I've noticed with a lot of women that it seems to depend on who's asking. πŸ˜‚

A friend needs a favor?
Of course.
The kids need something?
Yep.
Someone at work asks if we can squeeze in one more thing?
Sure... we'll figure it out.

But then WE want an afternoon to ourselves?
Well, now we need to hold a meeting about it. πŸ˜‚

Do I really need the time?
Should I be doing something productive?
Is someone going to be annoyed?
Could I just do it another day?
And my personal favorite...

Am I being selfish?

Meanwhile, I don't think I've ever looked at another woman taking an afternoon for herself and thought...

Wow. She is SO selfish.
Usually I'm thinking, good for her.
And possibly... how do I get myself one of those afternoons? πŸ˜‚

It's funny how much harsher that word can sound when we're using it on ourselves, isn't it?

What if some of the things we call 𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧π˜ͺ𝘴𝘩 aren't actually selfish at all?

Maybe we're just not very comfortable choosing ourselves yet.

Do you do this too? I say later a lot.
Things like ...I'll make time for myself when the kids need me less.
Or ...I'll take the class when work isn't so busy.

I think later sounds responsible and practical.
It even sounds temporary.

But if you're anything like me... later can become a habit.
I'm really good at handling what's right in front of me.
Taking care of the thing that needs doing.

Showing up for the person who needs us most.

We adjust and accommodate and keep everything moving.
And before we know it, the things that matter to 𝘢𝘴 quietly get moved to later.

Again.
And again.

Until one day we realize we've been waiting for a season when life will magically have more time, fewer responsibilities and absolutely no one who needs anything from us.

However, I'm still waiting to meet the woman who lives in that season. πŸ˜‚

I'm starting to think that maybe the shift isn't about suddenly putting yourself first in every situation, and maybe it's simply noticing what you've been postponing. Then ask yourself if it really needs to wait?

We don't have to change our whole life today.
But maybe one thing we've been saving for 𝘭𝘒𝘡𝘦𝘳 deserves a little space NOW.

Is there something you've been telling yourself you'll get to... later?

Do you also notice that a lot of women answer 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘒𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘢? with their calendar... or 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘒𝘒𝘺𝘒? if you're from Massachusetts.

Seriously though...

𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘒𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘢?
Busy.

𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘒𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘢𝘳 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬𝘦𝘯π˜₯?
Busy. Not long enough.

How's summer going?
𝘎𝘰𝘰π˜₯... 𝘣𝘢𝘡 𝘴𝘰𝘰 𝘣𝘢𝘴𝘺.
πŸ˜„

Busy somehow stopped describing our schedule...
and started describing us.

I still do it too...

I'll call you when things calm down.
After this week it'll be better.
Once we get through August...

As if September isn't standing right around the corner with its own clipboard. πŸ˜‚

What I find interesting is that busy
doesn't really tell anyone how we're doing.

Maybe I'm happy.
Maybe I'm overwhelmed.
Maybe I'm excited about everything I have going on.
Maybe I'm exhausted.

Maybe it's all of the above before I've even had my second cup of tea.

But ask me how I am?
Busy.

I've been noticing that word a lot lately.

And I've started wondering...
How would I answer if I couldn't use it?

I'm honestly not sure.
Which is probably worth noticing.

Bruce spent a solid five minutes barking at... absolutely nothing this week.
I looked.
He looked.
I looked again.
Nothing.

Then, just as suddenly as it started...
He decided the crisis had passed and wandered off for a snack.

You know...
There's probably a lesson in there somewhere.

But mostly it reminded me how much energy we all spend worrying about things that never actually happen.

Maybe this weekend is a good time to let a few imaginary squirrels go. 🐿️

Have a happy weekend, friends.
