Message from Paul Johnson of Plymouth County League!

Big win in Middleboro. Area sportsmen and women pack the conservation commission meeting at town hall. It was standing room only last night with a polite and respectful crowd representing the sporting community admirable one and all.

The Commission received the message and rescinded the No Hunting policy without resistance.

Thanks to each and every sportsman and sportswomen who came. Those who spoke did us proud. I have to say I have never been prouder to be a sportsman than last night! Our people have finally gotten the message participation matters!

GOAL ALERT – Legislative Hearing

The Joint Committee on Environment and Natural Resources will be holding a hearing on Wednesday, November 29th, 2023 at noon in Room A-2 at the State House. Directions: https://malegislature.gov/StateHouse/Visit

The hearing will feature 36 fishing, hunting, trapping related bills across a variety of different topics. If you would like to attend or testify you can do so in person or remotely. This is disappointing as hunting is a vital part of conservation. I think anyone working on a conservation commission should be required to take a college level conservation or hunter education class.
