Please join us in welcoming Abby Mouch, one of our four new members joining the NTN Board of Directors!

Abby joined the board this summer, inspired to give back to the trails that helped form her sense of self and find her community. You’ll find her on the trails in all seasons as a Nordic skier, trail runner, and mountain biker. Abby has formed many of her close friendships on the trails in Marquette and believes that they are an invaluable community asset for health and happiness. She hopes to inspire inclusivity and belonging on the trails and treating our trails like the treasure they are. Abby brings a conservation-minded background as a biologist to inform goals for a sustainable and thriving trail system.

We are thrilled to have Abby join NTN's board and look forward to the experience, passion, and fresh perspectives she brings to our mission.

We had a great time at Superior Hills Elementary for the ribbon-cutting of their brand-new playground!

Our NTN crew helped spread wood chips around the new playground, and we are excited to see students playing on it next week when school starts back up! And if you’re visiting the playground, don’t forget that our Superior Hills Book Trail is next to the school.

We’re always happy to pitch in on projects that get kids outside and enjoying their community. Congrats to Superior Hills on the new playground!

September is looking good! We’ve got several trail work days on the calendar, including a few at the Marquette Township Trailhead (Wellfield road) where we are working on the connection between the trailhead and Freak N Nature!

And to wrap up the month, join us for the final Fridays at Forestville race of the season, followed by the community potluck for all racers, families, and volunteers.

Come dig, ride, race, eat, or just hang out with us. There’s plenty happening on the trails this month.

Race weekend is coming up! The Marquette Fall Enduro returns to NTN’s South Trails October 2–4.

Saturday has Open, Sport & Beginner categories, and Sunday is all about the Class 1 e-Bike Enduro. Spots are still available, but registration prices increase after Sunday, August 30.

If you’ve been thinking about racing, now’s the time to sign up!

It’s exciting to see progress at the site of our new pole barn at Forestville! Associated Constructors cleared the site and will start construction soon.

The new pole barn will provide much-needed storage for the equipment used to build and maintain trails throughout the system. We’re looking forward to seeing this project take shape, with completion slated for mid-November, right in time for ski season!

Meghan created two unique hat designs featuring two of her pieces, each capturing a little piece of what makes this place special. Each limited-edition hat is $42, while supplies last.
