This evening was the end of the Curling season. The Kemna family from Missouri tried their hand at curling. A great time was had by all.

Thanks to everyone who made this season successful and memorable. Hope to see everyone next season.

There will be NO Drop in Curling on Saturday 5/9. There are two Saturdays left in the season, 5/16 and 5/23.

So if you’re thinking of trying Curling, you have two Saturdays left. Hope to see you on the ice.

The City of Marquette Staff Academy spent time after their meeting this morning learning how much fun the sport of Curling is. Look at those smiling faces.

Curling may look simple, but this Olympic sport is all about precision. Two teams take turns sliding heavy granite stones toward a target known as the house.

Another great evening of Saturday night
Curling. This week we had a family from lower Michigan visiting their daughter who is a student at NMU. Also joining us was John Truit a Multimedia Journalist from WZMQ Channel 19, John was recording a segment on the Marquette Michigan Curling Club which will air on at 6PM on Monday. I encourage all of you to check out John’s attempt to master the art of delivering a Curling stone.

The first Saturday Drop in Curling is in the books and it was a success. Tonight’s theme was Family and Friends.

Another full house last night. A few folks from the Senior Center joined us to experience the great sport of Curling. Their smiles says it all.

Friday seems to be Company curling team building day. First thing Friday morning Lake Superior Community Partnership, LSCP, worked on team building, learning to curl. Thank you Randy R. for providing the instructions.

Then last thing Friday night Swick Plg & Htg worked on team building by learning to curl.
